Vopium launches Vopium Sync (beta)

Vopium Sync is now launched in beta. This is a free service which allows you to back up your mobile contacts and calendar securely online. Vopium thereby becomes the world’s first mobile VoIP provider to offer mobile backup.

Integrated with the Vopium application, Vopium Sync backs up a your contacts and calendar direct to your online Vopium account. If you lose your phone, all you need to do is log on to your Vopium account and retrieve your saved contacts and calendar items. You can also log into your online account at any time and edit your contacts and calendar invites. The changes will appear in the address book and calendar on the phone. Vopium Sync initially works on Nokia Symbian and Windows Mobile 5 but will soon be released for most Vopium supported handsets as well.

Vopium now in the official Danish Telecom Guide

Vopium has been accepted by the renowned, official Danish telecom price comparison guide of the Danish IT and Telecom Agency; Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation (IT- & Telestyrelsen).

Now, you can compare Vopium’s international call prices to all Danish operator prices. And you’ll find that we’re among the cheapest providers of international calls to almost any destination in the world! Vopium is the first software based telecom provider to be accepted in the guide.

The guide has chosen to add 0.70 DKK as the local rate you add to the cheap, international Vopium rates. Meaning that e.g. for calling the US, the price will say 0.85 DKK (0.70 DKK for the local rate + 0.15 DKK for the Vopium rate).
